TRUE STANDARD CHRISTIAN BIBLE COLLEGE had its beginning in the heart and mind of Bishop Charles W. Dingle, D.D of Wilmington, North Carolina, when TSCBC was found in 2002. He had labored long and tireless to inspire the Convocation regarding the need for a Bible College. The Convocation finally adopted the idea in August 2007 and passed a resolution authorizing him to start work on establishing a Bible College. At the 2007 conference, Bishop Dingle was elected President of the school that he would establish in the near future. The school was established in December 2007 and in January 2008, the first semester was held at 1405 West Saint James Street, Tarboro, N.C. Pastor Vernice A. Dingle, B.Th. D.D. (wife) was the first faculty member to serve with him. In 2009 the college was moved to Wilmington, N.C. there God gave it rapid growth. The Fall semester of 2012 the school in Wilmington N.C. became the first affiliate, (extension) and Dr. Lorraine King Cooper was installed as dean of that school. July 2012 Bishop Dingle opened the Corporate Office and school in Greenville, N.C. and serves as dean/President. His wife, Dr. Vernice A. Dingle serves as assistant dean. TSCBC has grown tremendously since its inception and continues to make significant progress in its curriculum and development. February 2019 the name was officially changed to TRUE STANDARD CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.
